OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

Kindred was born out of a desire to love and serve the women and families in our communities. Christian saw a need for more well rounded pregnancy care and education, care that takes women from preconception well into the postpartum period. We are committed to providing quality education and birth professional resources so you can live fully and naturally. The way we have served our community has taken many forms over the last several years but our mission and values have stayed the same:

OUR MISSION

To provide quality education and birth professional resources in a way that equips and inspires you to live fully and naturally, so that you can pour richly into your family and community.

OUR VALUES

Face to Face Connecting

  • Though many of our resources are available online we see the value of meeting and connecting in person face to face, which is why we created our in person Girl Talk community.

Shoulder to Shoulder Learning

  • We value learning from experts, and always growing, together (even us). We seek to provide opportunities were we can grow in our learning and understanding together shoulder to shoulder.

Back to Back Relating

  • We not only want people to feel connected, we value creating a space where women feel heard and supported, where women know someone has their back. We hope you’ll discover that we are all a lot more alike than different.

Christian Lawson

FOUNDER & HEAD OF CHILD BIRTH EDUCATION

Christian has had 11 years experience as a certified doula and developed her own childbirth education curriculum and VBAC course and has been teaching for over 8years. Over the years she has developed business strategies that turned her passionate hobby into a sustainable business, all while raising and homeschooling three kids, and managing a home. Because of this journey she has taken a personal interest in helping train birth workers to develop their passion, hone their skills, and run a business that doesn't run them at whatever pace makes the most sense for the season of life they are in.

She has studied nutrition for several years and has helped many families with meal planning and prepping strategies that has simplified and improved their daily lives.

She loves yard sales, hanging out with friends way past her bedtime, and the occasional spa day. She has been married over a decade to a self made craftsman. Together they make quite the dynamic entrepreneurial couple!

HEAD OF LACTATION SUPPORT & EDUCATION

Certified Lactation Educator

Meghan Is a wife, boy mama of 3 and a Certified Lactation Educator. Her personal breastfeeding journey started in the trenches with a very difficult beginning. After hard work, determination and the support of a wonderful Lactation Consultant she was well on her way to not only nurturing her baby but encouraging other mamas as they walked arm in arm through motherhood. Her husband is the one who encouraged her to continue encouraging other mamas by becoming a CLE.

She have been determined every since to educate, encourage and empower other mamas in their breastfeeding journeys. Encouraging them to trust themselves and their bodies, to be fully informed and cherish every aspect of motherhood.

Three of her simple joys are a very hot cup of coffee, freshly made sourdough bread and sleeping in while her hubby makes breakfast.
